The Wilderness Trust  (Registered Charity no, 1011511) believes that when people make deeper connections with the natural world, it increases both their sense of wellbeing and their desire to care for our environment, creating a healthier, happier planet.

The Hanging Gardens Theatre Project was supported to help fund a project manager to oversee the restoration of a theatre in a former Chapel - bringing a redundant building in the town centre of Llanidloes, back into Community use. 

The theatre now runs several regular groups and have hosted events such as repair events, open mic nights, talks, film clubs, Singing for Health Group, Arts Group, Sewing Group, Celf Able, Have a Go Shakespeare afternoons, yoga and tai Chi. There have been weekly live music performances, a new Years Eve party and youth groups and events.
