CARAD Community Arts Rhayader and District

Grant amount: £2,987
Award year: 2022
Awarded to: Nature Talk and Draw

An independent charity promoting participation in arts and heritage activity.

We supported their Nature Talk and Draw events with £2,987 in March 2022. A natural history lecture followed by a drawing workshop, from natural specimens related to the talk. Participants expand their drawing skills in a social setting. The events are interested in the positive effects of ‘Nature Connectedness’, connecting directly via the arts, observation, hands on activities and sensory immersion. Research shows this improves wellbeing and inspires more sustainable lifestyles.
